Filaree Fruit

Filaree was established in 1977 and has been planted, grafted, and nurtured along into a healthy, mature orchard. This 7 acre farm is home to 30 some heirloom apple varieties, 4 types of peaches, apricots, plums, prunes, asian pears, hazelnuts, and inter-plantings of non-fruit bearing tree species. This arrangement creates a desirable habitat for wildlife as well as humans while reducing water consumption and mitigating soil erosion. The orchard continues to benefit from organic management and is a welcome place for friends and visitors.
