MIU Regenerative Organic Agriculture Program Farm

An educational farm that runs in support of the bachelor's degree program in Regenerative Organic Agriculture at Maharishi International University in Fairfield, Iowa. The biodynamic and organic certified farm sits on 16 acres with about 2.5 acres cultivated, and produces roughly 40 different kinds of vegetables such as tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, kale, chard, lettuce, arugula, greens and other salad mixes. The farm supplies produce to the university's dining hall and to the Fairfield community through the local Farmers Market and community supported agriculture (CSA) program. Students gain hands-on experience from seed to market, including gaining knowledge in soil regeneration, water conservation, plant sciences, and permaculture design. The farm program is proud to educate students in regenerative principles and practices to promote resilient communities and take part in climate change mitigation.
