North Shore AgroEcology Center

The North Shore AgroEcology Center, a project if the Organic Consumers Association, is a permaculture inspired education and research focused farm. The goal is to offer demonstration, education and research for the furtherance of regenerative agriculture in NE Minnesota. Multiple food elements are incorporated into the project, including maple syrup production, honeybees, mushroom cultivation (shitakes, oysters, black poplar, turkey tail, reishi, & wine cap), medicinal and culinary herbs, hazelnut trials, elderberry trials, variety trials of apples, pears, apricots, cherries, cherry-plums, plums, rhubarb, seaberries, honeyberries, currants, gooseberries, raspberries, and blueberries. We also operate a Deep Winter Greenhouse, which supplies local greens in the depths of the Minnesota Winter!
