River Root Farm

River Root Farm is a small family-owned vegetable farm nestled into a hillside along Locust Road in Decorah, Iowa. Our mission is to provide our local and regional community with high quality certified-organic produce on a nearly year-round basis; while incorporating the principles of community education and involvement, innovation, and ecological stewardship. Our goal is to contribute to our local food security by increasing local supply outside of the traditional growing season. With our system of unheated high tunnels, we are able to apply the benefits of season extension and crop protection to numerous crops throughout a calender year.
